Frequently Asked Questions

Who do we provide technical design services for?

We provide technical design services for interior designers and design-build professionals. We do not work directly with homeowners.

What is the lead time on 3D Renderings?

It depends on the size of the project and the level of finish. For a bathroom we typically require 1 week, while a commercial project or whole house is typically 2-4 weeks.

When should I reach out?

The short answer is always - as soon as possible! If we know you have a project coming up we can collaborate on the timeline and get your project in the queue.

What is the turnaround time on drafting?

It depends on the size of the project, how much information you’re able to provide and our current queue. A bathroom turnaround is usually about a week, while a commercial project might be 2-4 weeks.

Do you offer space planning?

Absolutely! If you’re busy and want us to handle the front load of the project, we’re happy to do so.

How do I share information with you?

We have intake forms on our website where you can easily load documents and fill out the information we will need, or you can simply create a Google Drive and share it with us.

Will my logo be in the title block?

Yes! We white label most of our projects so your logo can absolutely be in the title block.

How much do you charge for technical design support?

We charge hourly for drafting and flat fees for 3D renderings. Please check our rates page for starting rates. You can reach out for my information.

How will we communicate with each other?

We primarily communicate via email so that there’s a paper trail for the project needs, but we can always set up a Google Meet or a phone call.

What do you need from me?

We will take as much information as you can provide. At minimum we need dimensions. Depending on the project, our clients typically share photos, videos, material and furniture selections and dimensions.

Can you do 3D Renderings without drawings?

It depends on a lot of factors but it’s best to complete drawings first and then roll into renderings. Drawings are faster to update and revise whereas revising a rendering is clunkier and takes more time. We like to have the design ready-to-go when we start renderings. If it’s not, it can cause delays.

The caveat to this is that we know you’re getting the 3D renderings because you want to *see* the space, and with that might come revisions. That’s fine, swapping a color or material is pretty quick, it’s when construction needs to change that we run into delays. For that reason, we strongly encourage drawings first.

Do you offer structural design?

No. We are not Architects or Engineers and we don't offer any type of structural design. Our drawings are not stamped and are for design intent purposes only.

Are you a licensed Architect?

No, we are not Architects or Engineers. Our team is formally trained in Interior Design, Design Management and 3D Design. Our services do not replace the services of an Architect or Engineer.
